It’s been a minute. Hi! Quick update from the past month-ish:
🌕Made a moon out of a sunstone. This is the rough, collected several years ago on a trip Mark and I took to Plush, OR. It was in a jar of hundreds of other Oregon sunstones on my windowsill and just leapt out at me. I’ll share more later, when I’m able to get back in the studio. House stuff is taking priority right now.
🥰Still kind of in awe of my weekend at NW Marine Art Works. Had people ‘reeeally connect’ with my jewelry. Thank you, truly.
💖Bought this dreamy painting from Rachel Lozeau.
♥️Celebrated Lucy’s college graduation. Truly the highlight. I’m so incredibly proud of their creative, resilient, nerdy, foodie soul. They have grown as a leader. They have nurtured strong relationships. And making art every day has deepened their skills and voice. I’m the proudest mama.
🫶🏻Shared my new home with my brother. I love that he noticed the consideration and care we’ve taken in the design, materials and craftsmanship. How it will live. Pretty gratifying.
🪹Sadly, displaced a nest in my studio. The Say’s phoebes really liked the nooks up high. I needed to finish insulating, and it’s still a construction zone. Leaving them undisturbed wasn’t an option. No eggs yet, at least.
💦Took a break from work on the house to get our feet in the river. Even Loki got in, we were shocked.
✨Saw the transformation of the interior of our home from insulation to v***r barrier to drywall. Plaster work began this morning.
Gotta get back to getting the Portland house ready to list (very soon!). Ugh. My list is still too long. Once that’s done I’ll get back to prepping for Bellevue Arts Museum & Sunriverartfair!
