We all had a great time at the City of Portland Native American marketplace. Got a visit by an adorable polar bear, and a penguin found a home. :) it was a wonderful day spent with wonderful people.

Sometimes taking transit yields the weirdest results.

Today I was on the bus and noticed a lady wearing a choker with a grass quartz leaf on it. I thought, 'Huh, that's neat, I use those in my chokers, too.' Then I saw the pattern of the choker.

I had made it years ago. I went up and asked how long ago she bought it (she didn't look familiar). She said she found it in a house she was recently cleaning, still in its plastic bag, and that she loved it.

I told her I was the one who made it, and wanted to know how it was holding up over the years. She was very surprised, and thought it was neat to meet me. Sadly, she has only worn it recently, so no data on how well it held up with continuous use. However, it was nice to see it being worn and loved (I told her so, too).
