My Story

Hey y’all! Welcome to Markenzie’s Bands & Beads! Thanks for taking the time to visit my page and read about me and my journey with my mini business. :)

My name is Markenzie Marlett. I am 22 years old and I live in Portland TN, home of professional basketball player Corey Brewer, singer/songwriter Ronnie McDowell, and The famous Middle Tennessee Strawberry Festival. - I am a fur mama to a sweet, petite ChiWeenie named Sugar and a spunky, wild cat named Nash. - I have been a lifetime church goer, and I am grateful, thankful, and blessed that God sent his son Jesus to die for our sins on the cross. We wouldn’t be here today if it weren’t for Him. I believe there is nothing greater than God’s love. ❤ - I work as a Full Time Dental Assistant, which I love doing and seeing the transformation of someone’s smile to one they can feel confident about. They say a smile is worth a thousand words, but I believe it is more than that. A smile can light up a room and help you connect with people without saying a single word. - I was blessed with a handsome high school sweetheart, who I have now been dating for 6 years and love just as much as year one, if not more. ❤ - AND finally, my home/family is known as a foster home/family. We take in kids in the foster system and love them and teach them that God loves them too, even though times may be tough. We have had nearly 10 kids come through our home and they left the sweetest touch on our hearts and I hope we did the same for them.

I created Markenzie’s Bands & Beads in April of 2019. I started out by making beaded Apple Watch bands for myself and close friends and family. After posting some pictures on Facebook and seeing a large spark of interest from my Facebook friends, I decided to start making some for the public as a hobby. It has since blossomed into a mini business and I now have customers as far as California, which amazes me! Each item is handmade and customized to fit you and your taste perfectly. That being said, please note, due to the handmade nature of my products, there may be slight variations and imperfections in some items. I believe this is one of the beautiful things about owning a handmade item. ❤
