💐 Preserving the whole flower…

This piece was a first for me — and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out. 🤍

Usually when I work with flowers, they’re dried and carefully broken down before being placed into a keepsake.

But these flowers were different.

They were tiny. And they were the perfect size to preserve WHOLE inside this ring holder. 😍

Instead of seeing little pieces of a bouquet, you can actually turn the holder and discover entire flowers tucked throughout — petals, stems, tiny blooms and all.

And that’s what I love so much about creating with flowers.

A bouquet that once marked an incredibly meaningful moment — whether from a funeral, wedding, anniversary, birth, or another chapter of your life — doesn’t have to eventually disappear. It can become something you keep in your home and see every single day. 💐

This one feels almost like a tiny preserved garden frozen in time. 🥹

And of course, it’s functional too — the perfect little place to keep your most meaningful rings when you’re not wearing them. 💍

Would you preserve an entire flower if you had one small enough? Or would you rather have pieces from several flowers in your keepsake? 👇

✨ One necklace. Endless stories. ✨

If you’ve been around Pieces of Us for a while, you’ve probably seen the Maddison Necklace pop up again and again… and there’s a reason for that.

She’s one of my most-loved designs because she can be customized to tell your story.

🤍 Breastmilk
🌈 Breastmilk with pearl shimmer
💐 Dried flowers
🪽 Cremation ashes
💇 Hair
✨ Flakes, shimmer, color, and so much more

No two Maddison Necklaces are ever exactly alike because no two stories are exactly alike.

Some celebrate a breastfeeding journey.

Some honor a loved one who has passed.

Some preserve flowers from a wedding, funeral, or another special moment.

And some combine multiple inclusions into one beautiful keepsake.

The photos in this post are all the same necklace design — but each one tells a completely different story. 🤍

That’s my favorite part of what I do.

I don’t just make jewelry.

I help preserve the moments, people, and memories that matter most.

💬 Which one is your favorite? Tell me by photo number!

🐾 For the ones who left paw prints on our hearts… 🐾

There’s something about losing a pet that feels different.

They’re part of your everyday.
Your routines.
Your quiet moments.
Your comfort.

And when they’re gone… there’s a space that just doesn’t feel the same.

This paw print ornament was created as a way to hold onto that love — to preserve a small piece of them, in something you can keep, display, and revisit whenever you need to feel close again.

Whether it’s placed on a tree, hung in your home, or tucked somewhere special… it becomes a gentle reminder that their love is still with you.

Because they were never just a pet.
They were family. 🤍

✨ Then vs. Now — and this one might be my favorite upgrade yet… ✨

When I first started making keepsakes, this was my original keychain design — simple, meaningful, and something you could carry with you every day 🤍

But as I kept creating (and living real life as a busy mom 😅), I realized I wanted something even more functional… not just beautiful.

So I redesigned it.

Now, the updated version includes:
✨ A wristlet so you can carry your keys hands-free
✨ A tassel (and yes — you can add essential oils to it 👏)
✨ The same meaningful keepsake, just built into your everyday life

Because let’s be honest — we’re juggling a lot.
If something is going to matter this much, it should also be easy to use.

And I love that now you can:
💛 keep your memories close
💛 grab your keys quickly
💛 and walk out the door without digging through your bag

I do still have a few of the original style available, but this new version… this one just fits real life a little better.

💬 Which would you choose — the simple original or the wristlet + tassel upgrade?

✨ From then… to now ✨

After sharing some of my very first pieces this week, I wanted to show you what my work looks like today.

This is the Elisa Ring Set — and she’s one of my favorites right now.

Delicate, detailed, and designed to feel both timeless and a little bit magical ✨
This set can be worn with one or two stacker bands, depending on your style.

The center stone in this piece is made with:
🤍 Breastmilk
✨ A soft pearl tint
🌹 Rose gold flakes for a little extra warmth and shimmer

When I look at this compared to where I started… it honestly makes me so proud.
Same heart behind every piece — just years of refining, learning, and growing.

This is what Pieces of Us has become. 🤍

💬 Do you prefer a simple single band or a full stacked look like this?

✨ Another little throwback from the early days… ✨

This is one of the first Halo Rings I ever created — and looking at this photo now, I can’t help but smile.

Not just because of the piece itself… but because of the background 😂
Back then, I was still figuring out everything — pouring, finishing, photographing… all of it.

This ring is sterling silver with a bright whitener added, which gave it that really crisp, solid white look in the center.

It was beautiful… but over time, I learned more about how different techniques age, wear, and hold up — and I’ve since moved away from using that bright whitener to ensure better long-term results for your pieces.

That’s one of the things I’m most proud of — constantly learning, refining, and improving so that what you receive today is even better than what I made back then.

Same heart.
Same intention.
Just a whole lot more experience behind it now. 🤍

💬 I’d love to know — do you like a bright white stone, or do you prefer a more natural, soft look?

✨ The moment I realized this might actually become a real business…

After Megan trusted me to create pieces with ashes, I decided to take a little leap.

I posted in a local breastfeeding group and explained that I was still learning. I offered a few select pieces at my cost + $5 (which I jokingly called my “profit” 😂) in exchange for people letting me practice.

I truly didn’t know what to expect.

But then something amazing happened.

So many people reached out. Moms who wanted to preserve their breastfeeding journey. Women who wanted something meaningful to hold onto. People who believed in this little idea I was trying to build.

And honestly… it brought me so much joy.

Each message, each order, each piece I poured made me realize that this wasn’t just something I loved doing — it was something that meant something to other people too.

This photo is one of those early official sales — and looking back at it now makes my heart so full. 🤍

What started as “let me practice” slowly became Pieces of Us Jewelry.

And I’m still incredibly grateful for every person who trusted me in those early days.

💛 A little more of the Pieces of Us origin story…

Since we’re walking down memory lane, this was another really important moment in the early days of my journey.

A friend I met through a babywearing group, Megan, reached out and asked me a question I hadn’t been asked before:

“Do you make pieces with ashes?”

Every puppy she had lost, she had preserved their memory by making a Pandora charm. When she heard I was starting this little business idea, she wanted to support me — and trusted me to try something new.

To be honest, I was still very early in learning. But Megan gave me an incredible opportunity by letting me practice and experiment with her pieces. Because of her trust, I was able to begin learning how to preserve ashes in jewelry and keepsakes.

Over the last five years I’ve learned so much, and it all started with someone believing in me enough to let me try.

As a thank-you, I made her a few extra stones alongside the charms. It felt like such a small gesture for the gift she had given me — the chance to grow.

Moments like this are why Pieces of Us means so much to me. Every piece has a story behind it, and every person who trusted me along the way helped shape what this business has become today.

💬 I’d love to know — do you have a pet who has left paw prints on your heart?

✨ The next two pieces I ever poured… ✨

After I made my very first necklace, I immediately wanted to try more. I was still learning, still experimenting, and definitely still figuring things out.

These were the next two pieces I ever poured using my own breastmilk — two pairs of earrings.

At this point, Pieces of Us didn’t have a brand yet.
No signature background.
No photo setup.
No polished product photos.

Just me, my supplies, and a deep desire to figure out how to turn meaningful moments into something you could wear.

Looking back at these photos makes me smile, because they remind me how much this little business has grown.

But one thing hasn’t changed — every piece is still made with the same intention: to preserve something that matters.

And fun fact… the halo earrings on the right are still part of the collection today. ✨

💬 I’d love to know — do you prefer stud earrings or halo styles like these?
