This necklace captures my free spirit dating back to the 70's and is the beginning of a new collection in my Gallery. This design brings the vivid colors of lapis, amazonite, turquoise, carnelian, peridot and jade together in a complimentary fashion. The clasp is a slide on soft deerskin allowing the necklace length to be adjusted from the neckline to below the chest.

Purple spiny oyster is a rare, highly sought after shell harvested primarily in the Sea of Cortez in the Baja peninsula. Purple spiny makes up only 5% of harvested spiny oyster with orange spiny being the predominant find. Purple spiny has naturally vibrant shades of deep purple and often exhibits white and natural color variations.
I love to compliment purple spiny with bold turquoise and silver accents.

Royal Sahara Jasper
At the Tucson Gem and Mineral Show earlier this year, I stumbled on Royal Sahara Jasper (RSJ) and I'm so excited to work with it!

Discovered in 2006, RSJ is a dendritic jasper, a variety of picture jasper, and is considered the queen of the fleet. Although it’s found throughout the world, it is still considered rare.

RSJ’s earthy tones shine when accented with tiger’s eye, citrine, picture jasper, and Navajo pearls. It has quickly climbed up my list of favorite semi-precious gemstones.

Placitas Studio Tour 2024 is just around the corner, May 11-12. This is our 27th year and it promises to be amazing with 79 artists at 61 venues! We hope you can stop by!

The necklaces shown below are from my apatite collection. Apatite is a calcium phosphate fluoride mineral that is aligned with the Zodiac sign of Gemini. Wearing apatite is believed to reduce appetite (I should be wearing this!) and enhances insight and creativity. I love the aqua hues it exhibits.

Also at Studio 41, Steve McKibbin will be displaying his amazing gourd sculptures and demonstrating his techniques.

I couldn't have accomplished this goal without support from friends and family. A New Year, A New Beginning
I’ve been designing jewelry for the past 15 yrs. Over the past few months, I have been working on rebranding my jewelry line. Happy Holidays from Yucca Art Gallery located in the historic Old Town! Come check out our beautiful art in the Patio Market. Yucca Art Gallery is the oldest artist cooperative in New Mexico and was established in 1964, the same year we tuned into the Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show!

This triple-strand necklace from my Cinco de Mayo collection is dressed up for the holidays! This collection includes spiny oyster, lapis lazuli, red coral, and turquoise accented with sterling silver Navajo pearls.

This set titled Ojo Caliente was added today to the Placitas Community Library's (PCL) Shades of Red art show. Red coral is accented with sterling silver Navajo pearls and a beautiful sterling toggle clasp. Stop by PCL and check out the outstanding work by numerous artists and mediums in this show on display through Aug 25th.

Aqua Terra Jasper is said to relieve stress and bring peace and harmony. I'm particularly fond of the variations within its warm, earthy tones. Sterling silver findings and Navajo pearls accent these aqua terra gemstones.
