✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨So I’m officially announcing that Jay Bird Studio has moved to Pittsburgh, PA! 🤗 Aka, me, Ashley, my husband, and 2 faboo cats. 🐈⬛🐈We bought ourselves a lovely little house on a hill with a decent basement for me to use as my workspace.

It has been a big adjustment moving a whole Metalsmithing studio and small jewelry business (SO MANY SMALL PICESE!!!!!!) to say the least. Honestly, the hardest part was having to pause everything for almost a full year. There were some moments of great loss for my space, my amazing part time job with a local jeweler, and loosing my main creative outlet. I had been gaining momentum in my business and then p**f! It all just slowly faded out - pssht, honestly it wasn’t that slow! One day I was making jewelry and the next day I was packing up everything and going to a brand new city where I didn’t know a soul. But you know what? I LOVE a new adventure!! ✨ I have moved many times in my adult life. This is my 5th state to occupy. But I digress - and I didn’t want to do all of this here - I’ll put it into a blog you can find on my website. Which of course, is linked in my profile above. 👆🏻
These pics show me moving into the garage first, where my tools started to rust 😳🙅🏻♀️ and then into the basement where I will be for the foreseeable future - and my tools won’t get so rusty. ✨🙌🏻✨
There is much more to come and I still have some unpacking and organizing to do! My goal is to be more active here and start to engage so in the wise words of Samuel L. “hold onto your butt’s”.
