Last week was our busiest week of classes yet at Alloy! ✨
On Sunday, Maureen Duffy kicked things off with the final session of our 8-week Carving & Casting course, where students finished pieces they had carved in wax and cast in metal. Then she pulled off a doubleheader, teaching our special Phillies Necklace Workshop, where students fabricated their own custom "P" necklace from start to finish.
The momentum kept going with Sarah Montagnoli , who taught four back-to-back classes: two sessions of her 8-week "Oops! All Earrings" course on Monday and Tuesday, followed by our 3-hour Stacking Rings and Hoop Earrings workshops on Wednesday and Thursday.
We're so grateful to our incredible artist-instructors for sharing their knowledge and bringing high-quality jewelry education to South Philadelphia. And we're especially proud of our students - many of whom had never held a torch before - who stepped outside their comfort zones and left with beautiful, handmade pieces they can proudly say they created themselves.
