I offer a variety of handcrafted, artisan jewelry. The jewelry is created by hand from sheet metal and wire using basic tools like hammers, saws, pliers and a torch. Inspiration comes from nature such as trees, flowers, the sky and ocean, animals, and classic symbols like hearts and spirals. Each piece is infused with the joy and happiness of observing and capturing nature's beauty and magic. I li

ve in Medford, NJ with my husband, children, cats and dog. I love where I live with all of its lakes, natural preserves and hiking trails and that it’s only a quick drive away from the ocean! Living in this area of NJ provides me with plenty of inspiration for my designs. Each design is made by hand by me from start to finish. Often a design will start as a simple sketch on paper. This means that no design is ever mass-produced and will be the only one of its kind. Unlike jewelry that is made by machines and computers, Sleepy Cat Jewelry is something special. A memory of shining sun, sparkling waves and warm sand between your toes are captured in these stunning, sterling silver, one of a kind earrings with citrine, aquamarine and golden sheen sapphires. Texture on the discs represents sparks of light on the water and texture on the back of the teardrops symbolizes shifting patterns of the sand as the water recedes.

At 2 inches long these are easy to wear, so put them on anytime you want to remember a special beach day!

Earrings are almost ready for their debut. Until then, here are some pictures of sun and ocean or just sunny days at the ocean that I’ve taken over the years. These inspired me to pair citrine, aquamarine and golden sheen sapphire together (last photo). Most of these pictures were taken in Ocean City, NJ (including a couple sunrise shots) but a couple are from our family trip to Northern California back in 2023.

I’m hoping I’ll have the earrings ready to show you tomorrow. They are fabulous!

Happy Friday! I found Philadelphia Fleabane growing in front of our woodpile and thought it was so pretty. I love the random wildflowers that pop up here and there in our yard.

I won't be at in Verona this weekend but I'll be missing all of you and looking forward to when I return to shows. Until then, my website has plenty of options for you to choose from with free shipping.

Happy Mother's Day! I’ve been dabbling a little in watercolor and made a card to give my mom when I see her later today. We took a trip to Ocean City together a couple of years ago and, obviously, looked so cool in our oversized sunglasses, lol. Third photo was a trip from a few weeks ago, to visit my kids at the college they both attend. It was so much fun having lunch together and exploring the campus. And, of course, gotta wish a happy Mother's Day to my cat Onyx, momma to Pluto and Raven.

I’m so happy that these horse earrings found their person! They’ll be shipping to Asheville, NC today.

Sad news: I’m canceling my spring shows. Health concerns and other demands prevent me from participating in May and June shows. I’ve overcome other challenges in the past and made my way back to my booth, so I’m hoping you’ll see my face at summer and fall shows. I made these large teardrop earrings with paddles years ago and decided to keep them. I just updated them with wirewrapped pearls that are shaped like crescent moons. I love them even more now and can'twait to wear them!

The brooches collection is finished!
I have the two older designs, the oak tree and the oak leaf brooches currently listed in my webshop at www.sleepycatjewelry.com.
The other 7 will be available to buy this Wednesday.
While you’re waiting, here are detail shots from the new designs. I had a lot of fun giving each brooch its own unique look.
6 of the brooches are also able to be worn as pendants, thanks to a bail added to the back.
