Sleepy Cat Jewelry

Sleepy Cat Jewelry Welcome to Sleepy Cat Jewelry where you'll find handcrafted unique jewelry created in Medford, NJ. Welcome to Sleepy Cat Jewelry on Facebook.

I offer a variety of handcrafted, artisan jewelry. The jewelry is created by hand from sheet metal and wire using basic tools like hammers, saws, pliers and a torch. Inspiration comes from nature such as trees, flowers, the sky and ocean, animals, and classic symbols like hearts and spirals. Each piece is infused with the joy and happiness of observing and capturing nature's beauty and magic. I li

ve in Medford, NJ with my husband, children, cats and dog. I love where I live with all of its lakes, natural preserves and hiking trails and that it’s only a quick drive away from the ocean! Living in this area of NJ provides me with plenty of inspiration for my designs. Each design is made by hand by me from start to finish. Often a design will start as a simple sketch on paper. This means that no design is ever mass-produced and will be the only one of its kind. Unlike jewelry that is made by machines and computers, Sleepy Cat Jewelry is something special. Each piece has its own character and soul. Visit my store at www.sleepycatjewelry.com. Custom orders are also welcome. Send me an email to [email protected] to get started.

New necklace and earrings crafted from sterling silver, agate and tourmaline are listed and ready to ship. I couldn’t help photographing the earrings with Colby’s paws in the background. He has the same lovely colors of tan black and white as the necklace does and he’s really helping to show how the necklace and earrings would look together. ;)

Are you a fan of leopard-print clothing? I sure am! I was thinking as I finished the necklace and earring set that these would be great accessories with an outfit that had a leopard print. It would also look great with any neutral black and tan combo or, conversely, be a nice neutral accessory with something bold like red. Do you agree or would you wear it with something else? If so, share your ideas!

I hope to have the necklace and earrings listed on my website tomorrow, if time allows.

New addition to my office! My husband got this hammock for cats that attaches to my desk. I put it on my computer desk and the boys, Colby, Cheddar and Pluto have been taking turns keeping me company. 😺

I finally found some energy to do a little bench work! I soldered a bezel onto a backplate and sawed off the excess metal. Not a huge accomplishment but a small step in the right direction. Mom is back at sub acute rehab so I've been spending a lot of time visiting her and making sure she has what she needs. It felt good to grab just a little bit of time this afternoon to create. And doesn't the optivisors look amazing? 🤣

Happy 4th, happy 250 and happy Caturday. I spent most of today, hiding inside to stay cool with the cats and dogs, but hopped outside this evening. I'm glad I did because I spotted this gorgeous coneflower and an interesting dragonfly, called an Eastern Amberwing. I hope youre staying cool this weekend but still managing to have some fun. And, if you got outside, I hope you saw some beautiful nature!

Have you had your eye on this flower necklace? Grab it now while it’s on sale for $95! The silver and brass are a fun mix and the sunstone and rainbow casilica beads have such a summer-look to them. The chain is 16 inches long and fastens with a handcrafted hook. I’ll put the direct link in comments or you can find it in the sale section of my website.

Updated three hearts necklace now has a wirewrapped chain of stone beads that combine ruby, kyanite and fuschite. Originally I paired the hearts with rose quartz (last photo) but I really like this stone a lot more. I think the new colors pop against the shiny silver, whereas the rose quartz was just too light and pale. This will give you more options for wearing it, casual or dressy. I did keep the lovely detail of the fused eternity links across the back (4th photo). This necklace measures 19 inches long. If you’d like it made shorter, just let me know and I can remove a link or links. Look for this in the necklace section of my shop.
