The latest commission. The childhood home of one of Ralph’s cousins! So much fun! My master carpenter made the frame from a to***co rail (American chestnut) that was up in the barn on our farm! That was an extra special treat since our farm was the family farm and cousins used to spend time here when they were growing up!

I have been working on several projects! This one is for myself!
We live in a very old house but don’t know the date of it. We gues mid 1800s. It was a part of the Coleman Estate and our deeds just start saying with buildings! It has been in our family for a very long time.
Anyway, I thought it would be fun to take it back to the original, or as best as we could! So Ralph and I have had many conversations over old pictures (the oldest going back to the 1940s)! And Ralph’s remembering of what he found when he had to repair the corner of the house just before we were married, and what we have found when we have ‘uncovered’ walls around doorways! It’s been fun and what a process…learning what works and what doesn’t!! So here you go!!!
