LIMITED EDITION Selmer Paris Reference 54 'Kookaburra' Alto Saxophone ~ $4200 with FREE SHIPPING!

From the year 2005 to 2007, Selmer Paris created limited edition versions of the extraordinary Reference 54 to commemerate the great Charlie Parker. The Kookabura model of 2006 includes an elaborate engraving of two Kookaburas perched on branches and a honeygold lacquer. There were only 330 of these altos made for the USA market.

While this particular example does present signs of lacquer wear, especially on the backside of the body tube, it continues to emanate its gorgeous design and character. The red paint on the "S" of the neck makes a true statement of uniqueness along with the limited engraving.

The horn plays excellent top to bottom with the superior sound quality you would expect from a Selmer Reference 54. This model includes a High F # key. It comes packed safely in a green ProTec case and is ready to sing!

Designed by Peter Ponzol, this hard to come by antique finish Pro One tenor offers a bold, robust sound. It features a hybrid design that includes a more traditional bore in the body but a larger bell flare. This particular example had one owner that utilized it as a back up instrument. All of the original accesories are included and most of the them are still in the original packaging unopened. The horn was barley played making it "like new" condition.
