I made this one for my wife quite a while ago, and of all her bags, this is still the one she reaches for most. That’s something I think about with the bags I make now too. Different leather and one-of-a-kind details are great, but ultimately it has to be a bag you actually want to carry.

Some things just go together.

This customer went for the same cuff watch in both black and brown — honestly, a smart move. They're probably the two most versatile leather colors out there.

Black gives it a sleeker, edgier vibe. Brown is a bit warmer and laid-back. Between the two, there's not much in your wardrobe they won't pair with.

I've always been obsessed with the idea of taking something as sleek and modern as an Apple Watch and flipping its whole vibe.

Slap it onto a wide leather cuff like this one, and suddenly it feels like a totally different watch — one that actually turns heads.

Oh, and that little metal tag? You can personalize that too. It's such a small detail, but honestly, it might be my favorite part of the whole thing.

It's still an Apple Watch at the end of the day. Just not the kind you see on every other wrist.

This cuff watch came back to my workbench after eight years of regular wear because the customer wanted the worn straps replaced.

Once I had it back in my hands, I could really see what eight years had done to it. The straps and stitching had taken most of the wear, but the original cuff itself was still solid—and it had developed a beautiful, naturally aged look that you simply can’t create overnight.

So instead of replacing everything, I kept the original cuff and gave it what it needed: new straps, fresh stitching, new buckle keepers and buckle, followed by a good cleaning and conditioning.

The result isn’t a brand-new watch, and that’s exactly what I like about it.

It still has eight years of character—now it’s ready to keep going.

There’s something satisfying about repairing a piece that has already proven it’s worth keeping.
