Exciting Summer Adventures Await! 🎉💦☀️

It’s officially summer break! 🎉 Huck has THREE MAJOR visits lined up already, and he’s eager to make this summer unforgettable.

During Spring Break, which was just a week long, Huck had the incredible opportunity to visit two new sheriff's offices, three police stations, three fire stations, a security team, and even a news station! 🚔🚒🪖🇺🇸

This summer, Huck aims to expand his travels beyond Florida. While we haven’t scheduled any events outside the state yet, he is actively seeking donations to help prepare for this exciting journey. He’s always in need of bracelet supplies, and as he continues to grow, new suits and shoes are always appreciated.

Along with meeting many veterans Monday, Huck was surprised when officers from Wildwood Police Department arrived just to see him. He had the privilege of presenting these incredible officers with his handmade bracelets and spending time getting to know them. 🚔🚨

In return, Huck received a patch, a challenge coin, and even a new pin for his suit—gifts that meant so much to him. He proudly shared his collection with the officers, and when asked which challenge coin was his favorite, he sweetly replied, “I like them all for different reasons.”

That answer perfectly reflects Huck’s heart. He truly admires every coin he receives, not only for what it represents, but for the special memories and meaningful connections tied to each one. ❤️

A few weeks ago, Huck was invited to attend a Memorial Day Ceremony at HearthStone at Wildwood. During the event, he had the honor of meeting many veterans, personally shaking their hands, and thanking them for their service. Huck was also given the opportunity to prepare and deliver a speech. While he has spoken in front of a full room before, this was his first prepared speech—a new experience that required reading aloud in front of an audience. Despite the nerves and excitement, he did an incredible job, and we could not have been more proud.

Watching Huck take the time today to ensure our heroes feel seen, appreciated, and never forgotten meant more than words can express. As parents, proud does not even begin to describe how we feel seeing the kindness, compassion, and gratitude he carries in his heart.

Anabella Shanks, thank you for being such a thoughtful and kind person, and for including Huck in something so meaningful. It was incredibly special to watch him walk alongside you, meet so many wonderful people, and be part of such an important day. ❤️

Recently, Huck was invited to attend a Memorial Day ceremony at a nursing home just north of us, where he will have the honor of giving a speech, handing out hero bracelets to veteran residents, and connecting with incredible heroes in the community.

This is the first event Huck has attended where he gets to stay in a hotel, and for a child, there is something truly magical about that experience. Everything feels new and exciting—the cozy room, the little touches that feel extra special, and of course, the pool! Although it is only for one night, this little boy is cherishing every moment and soaking it all in.

Tonight, he will spend time making more bracelets, practicing his speech, and drifting off to sleep dreaming of the bright and meaningful future that lies ahead. ❤️

Before Huck began making bracelets for first responders and military members, he created bracelets featuring words of encouragement and affirmation for people who dedicated themselves to helping others. In Huck’s eyes, if you made someone else smile, he wanted to be the reason YOU smiled too.

One of the most unique things about Huck is the way he learns and grows along the journey. While many people may know Dustin Lynch as an incredibly talented singer and songwriter, Huck wanted to learn more about the person behind the music. He discovered that “Mr. Lynch” is someone with a generous heart who gives back to others. Through the Cowboys and Angels Fund and his continued support of meaningful causes and community needs, Huck saw someone making a positive difference beyond the stage.

Seeing one of his bracelets worn by someone he admires brings Huck the biggest smile and gives him even more motivation to continue spreading kindness, appreciation, and positivity. ❤️

Along with Huck’s more “proper” posts, I love being able to share the fun, silly, and playful little-boy side of him as well.

Today, after feeling under the weather for a few days, Huck had a doctor’s appointment. He woke up determined to wear his Orange County Fire Rescue Department, Florida shirt, and while waiting for his appointment, he started flexing his muscles because, in his words, firefighters are strong—and if he was going to wear the shirt, he had to fully embrace the role! 🚒🔥

Wishing everyone a happy Friday and a fun, lighthearted weekend filled with plenty of smiles and silliness—just like Huck!



And, of course, there is the emotional side of it all—realizing that one day this little boy with such big dreams will grow into someone big and strong himself is truly overwhelming. ❤️🥹😭

During National Police Week 2026, we take a moment to acknowledge the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication of the men and women who serve and protect our communities each and every day. We honor those who wear the badge with integrity and commitment while remembering the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their service, strength, and compassion are essential in keeping our neighborhoods safe and united. This week, and every week, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to all law enforcement officers and their families for the sacrifices they make for our communities and our nation. ❤️
