Many trending chains today are mass-produced overseas with little transparency regarding metal content or long-term wearability. (Example from Alibaba pictured)

When selecting permanent jewelry, here are a few things to consider:
• Is the chain certified lead- and nickel-safe?
• Could sharp edges snag, scratch, or irritate skin?
• Are the metals quality-tested and skin-friendly?
• Is the weld strong and properly finished?
• Will the artist still be around if repairs are needed later?
