Post-con sappy post coming up! Thank you everyone who shopped with us this Crab Con season! You all have become family to me over the years and each and every one of you has been a big part of the motivation behind why I pushed through the drama and attacks and stayed open (besides the hermit crabs of course!) Spreading smiles and cheer through my work as well as spreading awareness on mental health and mental illness is a key component of why I’m still going and the meaningful moments I have with all of you keep me going.
We won’t be silent - you’ll never have us silence ourself instead of speaking up on the truth again. I will always stand up for what’s right and defend those who need defending. If that makes me imperfect or improper that’s okay. We need to stand together and be there for each other more than ever before and I will always do what’s right even when others don’t want to step up.
You have all made this a wonderful season despite the hate and jealousy that was circulating constantly. For those who attacked - re-evaluate your morals and ethics and grow from what you’ve done. Make amends and throw the jealousy out of the window. It’s time you join us with open arms instead of being money hungry and toxic and abusive. Forgiveness is the hardest thing to do and I’m always willing to forgive those who ask for forgiveness - but you have to ask.
To my fellow brother and sister approved vendors this year - I’m so proud to see us stick it to them and still persevere and rise above the madness and do what we do best - provide exceptional, tested, high quality and high standard products for hermit crabs and humans alike. The entire point of the convention and the official vendors is to raise awareness and advocate for hermit crabs and lead the pack in this endeavor. THAT is the difference - the year long advocacy and education, volunteering, marketing, and donations. You asked why we’re “special”? There you go.
I may be quiet over the next few days and not answer messages. I’m winding down from the most intense con of our careers. Running two super star shops isn’t an easy feat and it’s taken everything out of me. Please don’t take it as being ignored or dismissed - I love you all but it’s time I take a little bit of time for myself to recover.
To everyone who stood with us - I love you. To whoever said I abuse my crabs - you’re sick. No matter what - we spread love and awareness - let’s continue to do that throughout the remainder of the year and we’ll see you at Crab Con 2027 - AND throughout the year!! ❤️
