Mega Fun March 2026. The girls had a wonderful time again this year. Addie added a pair of black cochin bantams to her show string. It took her forever to get them ready but she did great..She also picked all the chickens we took to the show. She is learning so much im so proud of her. Avery is doing very well and helped getting her chickens ready, alot osf washing and blow drying ( silkies, brahmas) Milly also helped she likes moving the chicken feed from cups to bowls. She takes everything out of the showbox every time I forget to close it. She loves to take the chickens out of the showbox and give them kisses. They all did very well with there chickens. They both participated in showmanship and the chicken dance. Avery placed in showmanship.. And Milly finally got a ribbon for the chicken dance. And last but certainly not least we took Guineas 🫣.

My project chickens I've been raising the calico for over 10 years. We don't show them because they aren't a accept color in the cochin bantams. But they are very pretty. My new project I'm going to try for some blue calico. 💙 I've added a blue rooster to the hens with a lot of black. Im looking for a partridge silkie rooster if anyone has one needing a new home.

Addie, Avery and I have been working hard on our modern breeding pens. We are getting excited to start hatching for our next year's show chickens. If you aren't familiar with Modern game bantams they are a little funny looking. The girls call them little dinosaurs. I said I didn't like them but Addie, Heath Cormany and Jeff Burkhart changed my mind. They are the sweetest chickens very good 4H projects because they are big pets. And fast becoming one of my favorites.
