Day 7!! Last but not least are actually the first pair I made but waited til the end bc it’s sliver sister was scooped up before I could share them. I couldn’t make another silver pair as I ran out of swirly shells that were similar in size. (Guess where I’ll be headed soon 😁🏖️). So here we have the copper pair with black and pink Tourmalines and swirly shell fragments blooming open.

Thank you Aisha Likes It | Afrobohemian Jewelry for including me. I’m am so grateful for being apart of this community. I’ve met some amazing designers, whose artistry has inspired me to keep keep creating, and I hope we all stay in touch until next year’s challenge.

Day 6! challenge is another pair of Labradorite swirly dangly hoops. Because why not? These are the half-sister pair in copper to the silver pair (which Aisha scooped up that day❤️). Lighting is always tricky with Labradorites, but these flat shell fragments each have a shiny and iridescent sheen. Getting that on camera was even trickier. Taking a video also didn’t do them justice. But in person, they are very shiny and flashy.

Day 5 of challenge bringing you more swirls and dangly dangles. These are sterling silver with Citrine, Garnets and Rubies. Hard to tell the reds apart, but the Garnets are the larger round beads. This style is my go to. Part hoop and part dangle. And these colors are so juicy together!

Day 4 of challenge. I didn’t challenge myself with these… if you saw the last pair in silver. I couldn’t help it! They needed to be made in copper. I generally will make similar styles in copper and silver. The center shell is almost whole. And I’m OBSESSED with these. I might not part with them. lol. The stones are Moss Agate and Rhodonites.

Day 3! challenge. These earrings came together after many many iterations to use these broken shells. When I collect shells from the beach, I am always looking for any type of swirly shell. These bits are from Periwinkle snail shells. These each had an opening big enough to thread the hoop through. I’ve been wanting to make earrings with these for so long. And my inspo for the entire design was no symmetry. Together they mirror each other, but alone… the one earring is not symmetrical, right down to the shells being a little bit different in shape and size.

Stones are Chevron Amethyst, Amethyst, Goldstone and Carnelians. All sterling silver.

Day 2. My submission are these swirly ornate earrings. This design was a challenge for me, as I yearn for symmetry when making earrings. I have tried, and still do, to make asymmetrical earrings but they take me much longer because I somehow along the way revert back to symmetry. I’m in awe of anyone who creates asymmetrical art, even abstract!! Huge props to you.

Anywho, these are made with pale yellow jingle shells held together by swirls of silver and flashy blue Labradorite beads. Both the shells and beads have some spots of iridescence when in the right light.

Now that the market at the Chrysler is done, I can share my newest earrings with you. These are a combination of Super 7, Mookaite, Tigers Eye and Amethyst with two super cute swirly shells.

I will be posting one new pair a day for the next 7 days as part of a series I’m doing with a group of very talented earrings makers.
