It’s so hard to choose only 20 images per day!

Day 4 - Our first stop the incredible Sainte Chapelle de Paris - total awe of the amazing stained glass and this building was built to hold the Crown of Thorns. Then La Conciergerie a former Royal Palace and stunning example of 13th century Gothic secular architecture - one of the best examples in Europe. But it’s best known as the place Marie-Antoinette was held for 76 days before her death by guillotine in 1793. You are handed tablets to use on your tour which show how the building looked centuries ago - that was so cool! After a yummy lunch Brasserie Les Deux Palais we toured Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris I light a candle and prayed as I walked through this solemn space - blown away by its beauty! We walked to dinner Restaurant Bouillon Racine - this iconic establishment delivered ambiance, great food and lovely staff! Such an incredible day!

It’s so hard to choose only 20 images per day!

Day 3 - we ventured to Giverny. Upon our arrival the beauty that met us was rapturous! When planning our trip for October I never thought the gardens would still be blooming! What a wonderful surprise! We spent time taking it all in - the Seine and all the lushness before walking the underpass to Claude’s home where more flowers awaited us. The home felt quite lovely - historic and current at the same time. Of course we visited the gift shop and enjoyed a delicious lunch at Les Nymphéas before heading back to Paris. We were thrilled when my gf’s Aunt joined us for dinner at Le Bistrot de Madame Loulou. What a day!

It’s so hard to choose only 20 images per day!

Day 2 - we were so excited to set off on foot to Musée d'Orsay this was the museum I was most excited to visit friends and it went beyond my expectations! We ended our visit with a stop at Cafe Campana and taking in the rooftop views! Our next stop was Hôtel de la Marine in the Place de la Concorde - it’s a mini Versailles and a little known treasure! Resplendent is the only way I can describe it! Café Lapérouse - Paris is located in the courtyard and we enjoyed the most delicious French 75s 🥂 Next Le Marais where my gfs visited Musée national Picasso-Paris and we shopped and enjoyed the most wonderful meal of Foie Gras & Bœuf Bourguignon Au Bourguignon Du Marais our waiter Nicholas took exceptional care of us!

It’s so hard to choose only 20 images per day!

Day 1 - after zero sleep on the ✈️ we made our way to the 7th, ate breakfast at Hotel Duquesne and dropped our bags off at our VRBO. We visited Musée Rodin - the Eiffel Tower and enjoyed a lovely lunch. That evening we stayed in and caught up on sleep!

I just spent the best week in PARIS 🇫🇷 🥖🏛️🧀🍷⛪️🥐🥂with my sister and dearest friends - seeing breathtaking architecture, art, views and enjoying delicious food and yummy drinks! I’m really missing the people and the culture and we were most fortunate nothing interrupted our plans. Sante’ to the weekend everyone! 🥂

This week consisted of the very final bits for Paris - in addition to the normal mom stuff chauffeuring, cleaning, laundry…. My eyeglass situation is finished - but I understand I can’t see at night and I’m looking at cataract surgery. Tomorrow is our monthly Group Share and I’m excited to go to New Jersey Devils game with our travel hockey team 🏒🥅🏒 Cheers to the weekend! 🥂

This week was finalizing Paris Trip prep… trying to get my new glasses after getting a pair that weren’t correct - I visited the Dr. yet again. Fingers crossed this finale tweak will be correct🙏🏻 I worked a ton on the computer this week, ticking things off my list prepping for being away. I listened to a great book Finding Grace. Last night I grabbed dinner with moms from my son’s travel hockey team and I’ll be seeing them a bunch this weekend we have 3 games! Cheers! 🥂
