I'm an artist and artisan who does a little bit of everything. I began my etsy shop in 2009 to allow myself a creative outlet while I was a single workaholic who spent all my time problem-solving in the music industry. The first few items I posted were photographs, followed by some original t-shirt designs that were definitely influenced by my life at the time. Five years later, I'm a full-time ar
t-making freelancer who's happily engaged to the love of my life, and my shop has expanded to include my new interests-- and some old ones. Some of my fondest childhood memories are of playing with the sparkly rhinestone baubles my mother scored at flea markets and yard sales. Today, Moogie is still one of my best sources for the vintage jewels I use in my bridal jewelry and accessory designs, many of which are one of a kind. In addition to sparkly stuff, I also offer invitation designs and custom buttons and magnets. As a non-traditional (or offbeat!) bride myself, I realized how much of the offerings of the wedding industry felt totally irrelevant to my life. My shop aims to change that, by offering items for a diverse range of couples, many of which are extremely customizable. My goal is to celebrate diversity by thinking of couples of all genders, sexual orientations, races, sizes, ages and ability levels when I design. I create for people who break the mold--- it never fit anyone perfectly anyway.
