Just like Thanksgiving, it's all about the sides 💙🤍💙

I love sourcing unique side stone options for engagement ring clients. Here, I've paired greenish blue Montana sapphire hexagons with the center stone. Now THAT'S a distinctive lineup for a three-stone ring, don't you think?!

I don't mind having the blues 💙💎

Not when they're these light-to-dark blue Montana sapphires, set in my favorite bar necklace. Set in white gold, this cool clean design is one of my favorites.

I love customizing this design with a client's choice of metal and gemstones. Any combination is possible--contact me to design your own!

Hexagonal gemstones are having a moment--and for good reason! ⬇️

The step-cut facets follow the stone's outline, creating a clean geometric appearance.

The greenish blue color of these Montana sapphires adds an extra dose of distinctiveness to the unusual cut of the stones.

A variety of gems are available in hexagonal cuts. Contact me for current availability!

Some of my favorite pieces are the ones I forget I'm wearing 🤪

I have this delicate chain bracelet in yellow gold with sapphires, and in white gold with diamonds. Honestly, I'm always wearing one or the other. I leave them on for days at a time because they are so easy to wear that I just...forget that I'm wearing them. Whoopsies.

Like all of my favorite designs, this one can be customized with your choice of metal and gemstone(s). Contact me to learn more!

You'll never guess where I got the gold for this stacking set 🤔

A recently widowed client came to me with her and her husband's matching gold wedding bands. She asked if it would be possible to combine the gold from both into something new so she could wear his gold everyday too.

It was entirely possible! I melted down the bands together and transformed the commingled metal into a series of stacking bands set with a diamond (bottom) and Montana sapphire in shades of yellow to teal.

Upcycling metal into new pieces can be tricky--not every design is possible for technical reasons. If you have metal you want to re-use, the worst-case scenario is that we scrap the metal and you get a credit toward the new design equal to the value of the recycled metal. That's not so bad!

Contact me if you have jewelry you're interested in upcycling and we can discuss the possibilites!

Among the several kinds of beauty, the eye takes most delight in colors. --Joseph Addison 💛🧡💚💙

I first made this bar necklace design as a custom commission with three gorgeously matched ideal-cut white diamonds. I LOVED it, but I couldn't stifle my curiosity: what would it look like IN COLOR???

The necklace shown here is the next one I made, featuring yellow, green, and blue Montana sapphires.

Since then, I've made this versatile design with all sorts of gem and color combinations. I've put rubies with diamonds, diamonds with sapphires, sapphires with spinel, spinel with garnet, garnet with tourmaline, and so on. I've made single-color layouts, ombré layouts, monochromatic layouts, you name it--in every metal color available.

I never get tired of dreaming up new gem and metal combinations for this classic necklace. Interested in working with me to design your own customized combo? Send me a message and let's get started!

The space between the dish and the pitcher, that I paint also. --Georges Braque 🍽🫖

Just as an artist appreciates the importance of negative space, so too does a jewelry designer. The open-shank design of this ring creates a gap between the cluster of sapphires on the left and the single sapphire on the right. The little bit of skin visible when the ring is worn creates visual interest and intrigue--is that really a ring? How does it stay on the finger?

This yellow gold ring features orangy red, orange, and peach Montana sapphires. The design can be customized with any type of gem in any size, shape, color, or number. Contact me to explore creating an open-shank ring design of your own!

We don't make mistakes; we just have happy accidents. --Bob Ross 💛🧡💗

The center ring in this stack is a diamond baguette that I swapped out of a custom design because the client claimed it wasn't good enough. I disagreed, so I turned it into a little ring for myself. What else was I going to do with a lonely single baguette?!

That little diamond isn't lonely anymore--she looks terrific paired with some of my favorite rings, including this orange geocut Montana sapphire ring (top) and pink/orange/yellow Montana sapphire band. Creating this eminently stackable little diamond ring turned out to be a happy accident indeed!

I love stacking ring sets. Send me a message if you're interested in creating one for yourself!

A sampling of some sunset-colored Montana sapphires 🌅

Orange, yellow, and blue color-zoned sapphires remind me of the sky when the sun sits low on the horizon. Tablet cuts like the hexagons shown here enhance the sensation, since the flat cuts show off the rounded sun-like color zones.
