In 2011 i was diagnosed with an early but aggressive stage of breast cancer. I ultimately ended up having a bilateral mastectomy and because of complications I laid on my couch recovering for nearly a year. During that time I came across a bag of old designer handbags that all had different issues. I took each bag and started experimenting on each one. I was able to get them cleaned and refreshed
and back on my arm. These bags became a metaphor for what I had just been through. I was able to bring these bags back to a new found beauty in spite of what they had been through. I put the word out to my friends and family and soon discovered that we all have a bag of bags in our closet. I have to say a ruined a lot of expensive bags and learned very fast what not to do, but i also discovered amazing ways to bring these bags back to life. I have worked on bags that have cost $50.to $5,000. and have learned how to bring them back to life. Most of us all do the same thing with our bags, we put them on the floor or set them on a wet public sink, we spill coffee, or get caught in the rain and then bring them home and sit them on our countertops where we eat and live. I can clean, sanitize, restore, refresh, and repair them back into your life. We spend a lot of money on our bags and we need to care for them so they can bring years and years of joy to our lives. Allow me keep them looking fresh and clean.
