Sophie Ratner Jewelry was started in 2015 while Sophie was a student at the Rhode Island School of Design in the Jewelry and Metals department. The brand is currently stocked at Otto, The Whitney, The Mad Museum, and Goop, among others. Her work explores not only the aesthetic pleasures of jewelry – its energy and beauty – but also its deeper connections to one’s nature. Jewelry is not extraneous,
but essential: something we put on every day because it is part of our best selves, as necessary as lipstick or clothing. The jewelry she creates is meant to be worn every day, in any situation. In our opinion, few things compare with the feeling of beautiful, handmade jewelry on skin and body.
