Meanwhile, Crocus are getting ready to burst into color—tiny but vibrant signals that spring is just around the corner.

American witch-hazel, Hamamelis virginiana,
is a quiet standout of the colder seasons—blooming in early winter and, almost stubbornly, holding onto delicate traces of its golden flowers well into March.

Low Carb Cheesy Flat Bread

1 cup cottage cheese
1/2 cup almond flour
1/2 cup wheat flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp sea salt
