Balancing Essentials wants to let our loyal customers know that we are no longer able to support Destiny Reader Psychic Fairs. Unfortunately, Destiny Readers has asked that we not participate in their venues anymore. After a year of loyalty to them, establishing ourselves as a part of the Destiny Readers Family, we signed up for all but one of their upcoming shows in 2024. We then bought a number of new and exciting lines, but we were notified at the last minute that they have decided we are not wanted at their venues. Those of you that are following us and looked for us in South Burlington, VT it was not our intention to forego the show. We are sorry if you went hoping to see us there. When we arrived to set up, we were unable to get our displays and carts to the venue’s second floor room. We drove 4 hours each way to participate in this show and at the last minute we couldn’t. When we arrived home, we contacted the venue in Vestal to verify that our displays would be able to get into the building as we were told that this was now our responsibility, NOT the show promoters’ as is normally the case. After less than 24 hours we were told that Vestal would not work by the show promoters costing us another show. We then checked with Johnstown to see if our displays would be able to get into the venue and were all set to do that show and the others that we had signed up for. Less than a day we were told it was too much of a headache and stress for the show promoters to have us participate in Destiny venues due to extra set up time and our roll displays. Imagine our shock to be informed at the very last minute that we were no longer welcomed as vendors and asked not to return because we were not able to set up at ONE of the scheduled shows. This was news to us as it hadn’t been stated before and we have done several shows with them. If you hear any other stories as to why we are not participating with Destiny Readers, feel free to contact me and I will be more than happy to share any communication that was done showing that it was completely their choice not to invite us back. I guess this is what happens when you are loyal and put all your support and loyalty to one vendor. It has caused us a minor setback, but we will bounce back bigger and better than ever.
Going forward we are looking at all our options. One being the possibility of starting our own psychic fair traveling show. This would offer our customers, readers and vendors another option. One that would be less expensive for all -a win/win for all that participate.
