The “Homecoming Hoops” 🧡

If these hoops could talk 🥹 I was beyond honored to be asked by a very near and dear old friend to make her her dream hoops to celebrate achieving a huge life milestone. She put herself through nursing school with the dream of one day having it allow her to move back to our shared home state of California. What an absolute joy to honor this place we both hold so dear, and what an incredible synchronicity that her new home I mailed them to: literally 10 minutes away from the house I grew up in, on the same Santa Cruz Mountains. ⛰️ I am so proud of you Amanda, for chasing and accomplishing your dreams. And thank you for trusting me to bring your California talisman dreams to life 🧡

I will save the silversmith novel I could write about all I poured into making these earrings for a part 2… as I documented a lot of the process of these beauties. But will just leave you with the backstory that Amanda sent me a sketch of her dream hoops, showcasing the desire for both rope and barbed wire, California Poppies, and real life cast Mountain Lion teeth, with the request for them to be open crescent shaped, and despite all the large silver components, light enough for everyday wear. And I believe we made all of those dreams reality. Will have more to show you soon…

• October 15-18th : Born-Free Motorcycle Show at Yellow Rose Canyon in Mount Enterprise, Texas 🔥

I am working on my Summer Customs List pieces now, but will be working around the clock creating a bunch of new adornments for you and your bikes the whole month of September/through both events.

I have a lot of pieces I always make for chopper shows… but I am here asking you to me know what sort of pieces you’d really love to see on my table at both of these events so I can make sure you won’t be disappointed - lemme know >> 😉😎

A moment for these stunning photos Tina Marie Kohler shared with me of her new Python Protection Ring alongside her serpent companion who outgrew their shed and gifted it for the occasion 🐍🤩

Just a reminder that the pieces from my oldest and most heart and soul of collections, the Python Protection and Venom Collections, that I have been making since (before) day one, coming up on 13/14 years now! Are always available made to order and I am quite happy to make them with your own familiars shed, just let me know and we can coordinate 🫶🐍

Sharing a pair of made to order Dueling Scorpion Hoops ((set with Pyrite)) that I made last week as a place holder for a couple updates/reminders:

1. My “We’re Gunna Ride” permanent // made to order collection is always just that, available made to order! Including these hoops, as weights (pictured) or for standard piercings with hook closure, hand crafted and set with your choice of stones! 🦂

2. Today I am packaging up another 3 custom pieces from my Summer Customs List, and then beginning the second batch within the batch of pieces! Moving right along! So next week I’ll already begin to share some of what I’ve been working on behind the scenes. I am keeping my focus all in on my customs list for the rest of August, but once September gets here I’ll be tossing in event prep alongside it because I have TWO big out of state vending events in October, which I will be announcing soon… 🏍️

Excited to start sharing with y’all what I have been working on, and equally as excited to dive into the next spread of custom pieces today ✨

Y’all I will be real with you, I am burnt out on posting, to a platform that does all it can to drain the magic out of REAL life, and de-pedestal makers who spend a lot of time and effort developing a slow and intentional craft and art, not just one for quick consumption and based on aesthetics and who plays the game best . I’m sure you all get it. Anyways, it’s a double edged sword always, because it IS still the way we connect and find each other best. It IS the best way to keep you updated. And if I don’t post, you definitely won’t see the threads of connection I am trying to weave with all of you.

Anyways, I just needed to say that, hopefully a fun rhythm of expression finds its way back soon, but in the meantime, I share with you a lovely humans pet snake shed they mailed to me to create a custom ring for them. The finished piece went out in the mail today, alongside 5 other custom pieces. I have a few more in progress I hope to finish sometime next week, then I will begin my second batch within the batch of custom work!

But, first, tonight! I am doing my only in person event of the month over at No Dice, from 5-9, and I hope to see you there 🫶
