As far back as I can remember I have had a care and concern for others and a unique outlook on life, which started with my Dad. To my many queries my dad would respond, "It's all about life and livin' it." He would continue, that all of what happens in life is for the purpose of us to observe and to act in ways that are worthwhile, beneficial, and necessary. These influences, stirred in with my sp
irituality and love of music lead to the development of the three series of work, Life & Livin' it, Pillars of Life, LOVE, SERVICE, UNITY, SOURCE, and Oasis of Energy's Universal Groove. As part of my process as an artist, I often fast, and meditate. The bridge started to go up with us still on it! I remember thinking if I should hold on to save myself or hold on to save others. I often think and act as a lone wolf. Pulling in and calling out the troops, mainly God and me. Thru my national tours with my work, I have had the opportunity to meet like minded individuals. The idea was born that these, "Citizens of the world" could move collectively for common purposes. The Pillars of Life series: LOVE, SERVICE, UNITY, SOURCE
This series is simple, and interconnected. LOVE is the highest frequency on the planet. When we move out of Love, everything is in Divine order! SERVICE is a concrete manifestation of Love. We can say, "I love you" but what do we actually Do. I believe that SERVICE is how we manifest God on this earth plain. UNITY is the understanding scientifically and spiritually that we are all one. When we act collectively in LOVE and SERVICE, we are honoring THE SOURCE. The SOURCE is in ALL. In acknowledgment and honoring of SOURCE thru acts of LOVE and SERVICE, we get to see that LOVE and SERVICE return, and multiply in amazing ways. Oasis of Energy's Universal Groove was the next series. It is a continuation of the two previous series. It is an outgrowth and awareness that music both shows our individuality, and common threads. In this series, I will mix symbolisms across cultural divides with the vibration of musical symbolism to bring harmony.
