After spending Saturday after Saturday bidding on antique and vintage glass at estate auctions, mother/daughter team Stephanie and Tammy realized that they were accumulating a lot of chipped pieces that were getting stored in closets and under beds in their homes. Hating the thought of cleaning house on some of their acquisitions led Stephanie and Tammy to start thinking about what they could do w
ith their chipped glass. While other materials are used from time to time, such as buttons and other vintage notions, their most popular items are the depression glass pendants (also made from sandwich and carnival glass). These pendants are made from chipped glassware that is then systematically cut and thrown into a rock tumbler to soften the edges and add a bit of frost. Often jewelry wire is then wrapped around the glass in order for the pendant to be hung from an omega or other chain of choice. Can I order a customized jewelry creation?
