Roughly 3.7 pounds of forged steel, forged to be a little lighter on the swing.

Every maul is forged, shaped, and finished by hand. No two will be exactly alike. Slight variations in size, shape, and finish are part of the process.

We’ve got an 8 LB MAUL on the drawing board. We haven’t fired up that process yet, but when we do, it’s going to be a beast. 🔥

No fancy tricks—just steel, wood, and a whole lot of swinging. This thing absolutely eats through a log. Every hit drives deep and keeps moving.

Our hand-forged meat turners are built for the grill and made to put in the work. Each one features a twisted handle for a rugged, one-of-a-kind look, finished with a built-in bottle opener—because no good cookout should be without one. 🍖🔥

Every turner is handmade, so no two are exactly alike. Each piece carries its own character straight from the forge.

One of the biggest changes from Version 1 of the maul was upsizing the eye to accommodate a larger haft. 🔥⚒️

Here’s a quick look at some of the work that goes into the eye after the initial punching on the press. There’s a lot more to it than simply punching a hole and moving on—the eye has to be worked, shaped, and dialed in to get the fit we’re after.

Just one of those parts of forging something by hand. Since everything starts rough and nothing comes out of a machine perfectly finished, there’s always a part of the process you look forward to the least…

It's always fun to post the perfect heats, the cleanest welds, and everything that goes right. But sometimes things just don't go according to plan. That's exactly why you test, practice, and push your product to the limit.

We thought, maybe… just maybe the lightweight maul could handle a standard everyday axe haft.

Turns out… the haft couldn't hang. 😂🔥

Back to the drawing board. Time to find this maul a haft worthy of the beating it's built to deliver. ⚒️🔥

Because if you're going to build a serious tool, you've got to be willing to find out where it breaks and make it better.
