this rule is starting because I received a large order from a lady saying she was Venmo paying me $41 for a lot a badge reels. She then sent a screenshot from her “bank app” saying the transaction needs my email after getting my username. Then I got a weird email. She proceeded to tell me after getting that info that venmo was holding her money because she sent from a business account.. and asked if mine was a business account and I said no it’s personal.so she told me because it wasn’t a business account it wouldn’t go through ,she’d have to send over $191 and then it would let me have my money. I’d just send change even though I never got an actual Venmo notification at all. Saying that she swore on her kids etc.. and I had nothing to worry about. Even ask if I thought she was trying to scam me with her three day old Facebook..🤗
I advised her to contact Venmo because I’m not comfortable completing the order/transaction because they didn’t line up.
So I’m not sure if any of that is my fault for not knowing..but to avoid any complications in the future I will only accept two payment methods. 💕
