When I started this necklace, I *thought* I had it all planned out. But the minute I picked up my tools, I started shifting things around, swapping stones, rearranging elements… and before I knew it, the original design was nothin but a fever dream.

I’ve never been one to sketch out a design and actually stick to it—I wish I could! I’ve always admired those who can. I’m more of a ‘figure-it-out-as-I-go’ kind of gal. I love when artists can put ideas on paper and draw them out so eloquently. It’s just not something I’m able to do.. a girl can dream though! When I’m at the bench, some pieces come together effortlessly, and others just need a little… negotiation. This one? It needed some movement before we finally found our rhythm.

But that’s the magic of handmade—every tweak, every melted joint (oops), and every stone set by hand tells a story. And honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way🧡

Something about scarf slides just makes me feel real nice✨I love how a simple piece can add so much style & character. Whatever vibe you’re feeling, a good scarf slide just gets it! Finished up this stunner turquoise ring this afternoon, and I kinda love it. Something about silver and turquoise together just works. Might have to wear this one for a bit before I let her go, finally something in my size! I’ll have this piece with me at on March 1st, come say hi!🧡

It’s been a while since I’ve sat at my bench. I forget that my time isn’t what it used to be and that if I want to make new pieces that I’ve got to switch it up in order to be able to create. In the past I’ve always worked on multiple pieces at a time because that’s how I would prep for shop drops or markets.. but times are different & I’ve got to slow down these days in order to produce art. So I set a goal of one piece at a time. And even though I felt the urge to start another piece.. I kept working on these turquoise studs until they were complete. Right down to the picture!🧡I’ll be set up at March 1st-see ya there!
