Thanks to CharIN e.V. for hosting a successful Testival & Conference ASIA 2022!

The SK signet team had a great time participating as a testing partner and Silver Sponsor. Throughout the week we had the opportunity to test EV charger interoperability with various EV charging manufacturers and car manufacturers.

Today we celebrate progress while also recognizing we have a long way to go on the road to creating a more sustainable world.

Transportation is still the largest source of U.S. greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, according to the EPA. We're working to change that by improving the EV infrastructure, which we believe will accelerate EV adoption rates and create a more sustainable world through mobility and clean energy.

The recent passage of the Inflation Reduction Act will provide $374 billion to boost sustainability programs in the U.S., including support for automakers and EV supply manufacturers via tax credits, grants, and loans. We hope these investments will ultimately reduce the cost of clean energy and EVs, bringing us all closer to our sustainability goals.

We are participating in the CharIN Testival & Conference ASIA 2022. The event will be held at the Korea Electric Research Institute (KERI) in Ansan, Gyeonggi-do, from October 24-27 -- the first official event of its kind to be held in Asia!

CharIN is a leading global association dedicated to promoting interoperability based on the Combined Charging System (CCS) as the global standard for charging vehicles of all kinds. As a member of CharIN, SK signet has played a major role in establishing leading technology standards for the consortium. At the event, we'll be participating as a tester and sponsor, conducting cross-verification tests of charging interoperability with various EV manufacturers.

We’re on a mission to build a more sustainable world through clean energy.

Earlier this year, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won and SK signet America President Seung June Oh met with President Joe Biden at the White House to announce $22 billion worth of new SK investments in U.S. clean energy and semiconductors industries.

These investments will help improve EV infrastructure and accelerate EV adoption rates, while also creating thousands of well-paying American jobs.
