Madalynn's Mayhem of Madness has been shifting the business as you have seen from some of my previous posts. Those of you who know me know how much I love scary movies. I am a big Horror fan. I wanted a business that represented who I was as a person and a business for others that are like me. I wanted to give us all the opportunity to purchase not just halloween/ scary movie memorabilia year round but one of a kind pieces that you won't find in the store. Throughout the years I started to see more and more resale. What I mean is I found more people interested in buying something that everyone else had. What did I do? I added more resale to my shop. As a horror fan myself I could understand the need and desire for it. I shop at Spencers, Target, Walmart, Hot Topic. I want the newest Neca figure as much as the next person in line. That is the territory of being a fan. You have this desire to need and want what everyone else has. However being a horror fan and a collector I love the thrill of hunting for something unique. That one of a kind piece that nobody else has. That is what my shop is about, it was about giving that person something nobody else had. Though I would sell most of my pieces I secretly would keep a few. Shhh dont tell. My products are amazing, my business could be thriving but I am limited to shows and opportunities that others have access to. Some of you know I am a mother of 4 young children with almost 0 access to childcare. My husband works 12 hour shifts with limited time off. This all puts me in a difficult situation. A situation that limits my abilities. Then came a new adventure inspired by my children. Madalynns Mayhem of Madness Bath & Bubble Bar where we create therapeutic luxurious bath salts, bath bombs & bubbles. Coming soon in August we will also have available bath scrubs inspired by my mother. I am so excited for this new adventure. I feel like my children are more involved and can be more involved in the process of making these bath products. These products still represent who I am as a person by naming them after my favorite scary movie characters. It will also help families who need relief from muscle ache, anxiety, stress and more. It will also help families who have children with autism an or sensory overload. This product represents not just me but me as a mother. I have severe sciatica, muscle aches, anxiety, stress and much more. I have children with cognitive disabilities and autism. These bath products will not only be helpful for my family and I but for others who share similar discomfort. I am beyond excited to be on this new adventure and I can't wait to walk this path with all my customers. Now I know you're all wondering what this means for Madalyns mayhem of madness. Will we still be selling scary movie memorabilia? The answer is yes, however we will only be selling scary movie memorabilia at craft shows that I feel fit, and at this moment it will be once a year at Marion Old Fashion Days.
