Happy Solstice and Merry Yule! We did it. It's the longest night of the year, which means after today the days will gradually start getting longer. I know it feels like it will be a long winter yet since it's only the first day of winter on the calendar, but I look forward to today because it means the sun will little by little start returning. We made it through the darkness... I have my simmer pot started and I'll be baking cookies all day 🥰❄️

When I was a kid I didn't know many people that decorated with tinsel, except for one aunt. I always thought her tree was so beautiful. I first heard the tale of the Christmas spider about 3 years ago, and it's one of my favorites 🕸️💖

Before calendars and clocks, people understood time through the land. The Wheel of the Year is one of those old ways of keeping time—rooted in sunlight, weather, planting, harvest, and rest.

Each piece I create belongs to a season on this wheel. Some are made in the rising light of spring, others in the abundance of summer, the release of autumn, or the quiet dark of winter.

Through my art, I share these seasonal stories for those who may not have grown up with them, offering a doorway into remembering the rhythms that still live beneath modern life.
