Moritz Glik

Moritz Glik Nobody shakes it like Moritz Glik. Each piece stands alone as an object of beauty and comes to life as the wearer’s movements encourage the stones’ dance.

Deeply inspired by classical architecture and fine art, New York-based jewelry designer Moritz Glik blends traditional technique with a playful, avant-garde sensibility. His work is comprised of handcrafted one-of-a-kind pieces, each bearing the imprint of Glik’s energetic pursuit of creative singularity. With every new collection, Moritz reinforces his admiration for the antique, creating pieces

that are fresh yet timeless

Glik’s signature design, the Kaleidoscope, is well known for its lively treatment of gemstones: white sapphire windowpanes house endless shimmering fragments of preciousness. Glik’s sharp lines and refined details bring balance to designs that can be worn day or night, even on the red carpet, with the same elegance and exclusivity. Glik started on his creative path at a very young age back in his native Belo Horizonte, Brazil, where his entrepreneurial vein emerged years before earning his bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Advertising. His passion for fashion and handcrafting first manifested in shoe design. Despite the success of his footwear factory, the provincial environment of his hometown pushed him to seek out his own identity elsewhere. In 1991, Moritz arrived in New York and immediately discovered his true love for the mesmerizing effect of gemstones and precious metals. Over the years, Moritz has traveled the world to produce and show his work, honing his expertise as a master bench jeweler and refreshing his views on aesthetics and beauty. Moritz Glik’s work has garnered press attention in several well-respected publications such as British Vogue, InStyle, Cosmopolitan, W, Harper’s Bazaar, and JCK among others. Many celebrities, including Mila Kunis, Kate Hudson, Rihanna, Nicole Kidman, Goldie Hawn, Serena Williams, Adriana Lima, Justin Bieber and former First Lady Michelle Obama, have worn Glik’s statement pieces to catch the photographer’s flash.

Before everything else, there was the Core. Pieces that defined a language and never stopped speaking it. Still here. Still shaking.

Some creatures carry meaning before they carry diamonds. The dragonfly — restless, transformative, never twice in the same place. The bee — tireless, alchemical, turning the ordinary into something worth coveting. Both sculpted in 18k gold with a Kaleidoscope Shaker™ at the center. Both built to shift — pendant, brooch, ring — depending on who you are that day.

"There is something particularly special about working with stones from the same ground you came from. They arrive with history already inside them, pulled from the earth by hand, traced every step to the bench. You stop imposing and start listening. These emeralds told me where they wanted to live, and I responded.

That conversation is ITA."

There is a particular kind of necklace that refuses to be worn the same way twice. The Curso Lariat starts as a long, dramatic drop — a graduating gold chain that grazes the body, a Kaleidoscope Shaker™ catching light at the end, diamonds moving freely inside. Then you adjust the carabiner. Change the length. Let it fall asymmetrically across the collarbone. Add the pavé ring drop and suddenly it is something else entirely. Same piece. Different story.
