"Nevermore"

This week we're back to birds! I thought I'd try a Raven since we are talking about textures in class now and I love the feathers. One of my fellow students gave me some great suggestions too and I think it came out nicely. What do you think?

"Imaginism Love"

For this week's piece I decided to do a bit of a self portrait, so here I am in my Imaginism shirt with the infamous cube on a necklace (I will be making one when I get home!). We also went to the Toronto Zoo last week and I had tons of fun connecting with the octopus. I wanted to bring him home, but alas they cannot live out of the water. So, I did the next best thing and drew him as both my pet and my hat. Hope you enjoy! Please share it around and help me beat my previous like/comment/share score.

"It's A Hoot"

My first piece from my workshop! Bobby Chiu gave us our first lesson and taught us some great techniques (along with all sorts of other wonderful information) and challenged us to create one piece of art and post it. How are you all doing? Sorry for my extended silence here. A lot has been happening as I consider what direction to take my art and business. I've finally decided to pursue some life-long artistic dreams & this summer I'll be working on a business plan and all sorts of new things for the biz. I am also preparing for the next month & a half of teaching and craft faires!

I was doing some work inside today when a breath of spring floated in on a draft from the window, so I decided to continue the dream & post this image. It's the last portrait I have of my pet mouse Lexie. She had such fun playing amongst the violets and nibbling on them.
