New year. Fresh beginnings. Limitless possibility.

Every year Shaw and I plan to put more efforts into our Vietnamese heritage and culture, starting with the celebration of the Lunar New Year. We do this partly for ourselves but mostly to pass on the traditions to our girls. And disappointingly, every year something else always takes precedence like farm chores/business or some sort of home renovation project that’s on a time constraint. We’ll have to just make it a priority next year 🙈 Grateful to AI for creating a vision of what could be Lunar New Year . It’s glorious! 🧧

May this Lunar New Year of the Fire Horse bring you balance, beauty in the everyday, and the courage to bloom where you are planted. Wishing you a year rooted in love, joy, prosperity, health, and divine favor.

Walking in a winter wonderland ❄️ Fifth season into rose farming and we get another snowstorm. The same thick blanket of snow covered our farm the very first season in and let me tell ya, we are much better prepared and experienced this time versus the first!! To think, snow hasn’t happened in the Houston area in over 20 years from when it returned in 2021. And yet, here we are, only almost 5 seasons into farming and 2 snowstorms. I guess “God doesn’t give you what you can’t handle” right?! We might as well enjoy the beauty. The bundle of roses in my arms were harvested between the freezes 💐 Suffice to say, this is officially the final blooms of the season. Grateful for the extended growing season we had this year 🙏 Stay warm and safe my Southern friends!

A surreal moment and milestone today ✨

The investment renovation project that we took on at the beginning of the year is officially sold today!!! 🎉 News flash - rose farming isn’t our only job 🤣

This is the FIRST HOME where we (our children included) didn’t have to live thru the dump, the dust and all the invasiveness of a renovation process 🥴 all discomforts that we have embraced in order to push our boundaries, creativity and love for home and garden design. With every project we’ve taken on, we’ve learned and grown exponentially more. More importantly, Shaw and I are immensely grateful to our investors who have supported and firmly believed in our vision and our work - we couldn’t have done this without them! 🙏💕 Last photo is of the bare bone backyard from when we first took possession.

We can’t wait to take on the next project…however crazy it may be! 🫣 But for tonight, we earned our meal and a restful night of sleep 🥂

Turning ordinary tiles into a striped Venetian-inspired dream.

Sharing bathroom designs of our latest renovation project. Look closer - the rearranged pattern created a quilted second layer adding additional dimensions and depth to the overall design. Definitely a more laborious process ensuring the stripes align but, I love implementing these techniques when I’m not able to find tile designs that I want to work with.

Making a house a home, and a kitchen a warm place to gathering 💖

When it comes to interior design I love to incorporate garden elements to create one cohesive indoor/outdoor entertaining space. I like to think of it as living Life In Rose….beyond the farm 💐

When your day job is rose farming, you spread a bit of that beauty and joy into all facets of your work. Needless to say, it’s just rosier that way! 💃

Sharing the before and after looks of our re-designed formal living room space.

One of the major improvements we did to the entire home is to replace the outdated popcorn-textured walls by re-floating the surface for a level 5 smoothness. A labor intensive and meticulous process that took months to achieve and a style that aren’t seen in many homes, including new-builds!

Kitchen reveal! The custom design home restoration we’ve been slaying over for almost a year is finally taking shape ✨

What was once a humble kitchen and den in this space is now transformed into an oversized Chef’s gourmet kitchen with all the bells and whistles, and an accompanying butler’s pantry for discreet food prep.

Gather in style and comfort with all the modern amenities while enjoying the fragrant rose garden and glasshouse view just outside.

We designed this space with inspiration gathered from our travels throughout Italy….and some details pulled from our too ☺️ Swipe to see the updates between now versus before. If I wasn’t a fan of cooking before, I am now! 💃 How about yall?! 😂
