Saturday night fun! OK, so this is what it’s like to be a bit older on a Saturday evening. Hubby is watching March Madness and I am testing color formula updates to the PC Color Mixer app. I’m working on adding Fimo Pro to the app, but also spending a lot of time improving the Sculpey formulas. Purples are the most difficult to get right! In the image, I have my trusty Mac, my Old Forrester Statesman bourbon, my trusty scale, my 5 colors, and my Sarah Renae Clark Color Cube cards for color testing. I’m a happy camper. 😁

Still testing the new, upcoming version of the PC Color Mixer app that will generate recipes for both Sculpey Premo and Fimo Pro primaries. I use Sarah Renae Clark Color Cube cards for most of my testing. The colors on the professionally printed cards are accurate and comparison to the mixed clay is much better than trying to compare to colors on a screen! Now I have to label all my clay tests. S= Sculpey, F= Fimo 🙂

Day 22 of . Brown glass vase, polymer clay cane slices, wood base. I started covering this vase months ago. I sorted through my vast cane collection looking for canes that I thought would work together. This 14 inch monstrosity was the result.
I added the last cane slices today. I’m not sure if it’s finished or not. I may add some antiquing, maybe Posca pen highlights, maybe a urethane glaze.
The images are 3 sides of the same vase.

For days 20 and 21, I made these 2 little covered jars. I’m busily working on improvements to the PC Color Mixer app, so keeping up with the is at least keeping me working with clay while also doing a loot of computer work!

Day 19 of ! Another upcycled bottle using slices from the polymer clay cane I made yesterday. 😁 I love how it turned out!

For Day 18 of , today’s accomplishment was to put together this cane using component canes I made recently. Tomorrow, I’ll use it to decorate a bottle!

For Day 17 of , I used a bit of the scraps from yesterday’s project to decorate this pretty little glass pot. I added some acrylic paint for accents. I have a lot of scrap from that project because I didn’t use cane caps when I reduced the cane. So I’ll be incorporating the peach colored scraps in more upcoming projects. ⬅️ to see the type of jar that I covered. These come from Costco filled with mousse. Hubby eats the mousse and I get the jar. Win, win!

Day 16 of ! Polymer clay on a recycled glass bottle. I saw this lace design while scrolling and thought it would be fun to replicate in a polymer clay. 🙂
