Traditional Lace-Up or Dolphin Zip & Velcro?

Not all T Top canopies are designed the same.

Many traditional T Tops use a lace-up canopy that can take more time to install, tension and remove. Once on you cannot easily remove, your stuck with it in the elements.

At Dolphin T Tops, we designed our canopy with a heavy-duty marine zipper and Velcro system because it’s practical for real boat owners.

You have a choice to remove when you want with ease.

6061 vs 6063 Aluminium – What’s the Difference?

We often get asked why our T Tops use 6063-T6 aluminium instead of 6061.

The simple answer is this:
Both are premium marine grade aluminium alloys.

The best choice depends on the job they’re doing.

✅ 6063-T6 is ideal for the curved tubing used in T Tops because it bends cleanly and is less likely to crack during manufacturing.

✅ 6061-T6 is stronger for parts that are CNC machined, such as brackets, clamps and rod holders, which is why we use it where it performs best.

At Dolphin T Tops, we use both 6063-T6 and 6061-T6 each in the areas where they work best.

After more than 20 years designing and supplying marine products, we’ve learnt that choosing the right material for each component is far more important than simply advertising one alloy over another.
