Our jewelry is made to order using 14k and 18k recycled gold set with ethically sourced diamonds and colored gemstones. Jane Bartel is a designer and a maker in equal parts. In 2014, she established her eponymous jewelry brand in New York,
where her native West Coast casual meets the city’s chic. With an inherent affinity for nature, her contemporary collections

m pieces inspired primarily by the organic forms and ethereal colors of the ocean. The singular look of Jane Bartel Jewelry is achieved using the intricate lost-wax casting technique, an experiential process that
the jeweler often allows to inform the final product. This instinctive, hands-on approach is what gives each piece its individuality
and sense of adventure. Whether a sleek, elevated essential or an all-out statement style, every collection infuses artisanal
design with a creative spirit. A deep respect for nature is at the foundation of Jane Bartel Jewelry. As a supporter of the Mercury-Free Mining Organization
and a proud member of the Ethical Metalsmiths, every piece of Jane Bartel Jewelry is made by hand in New York using recycled
gold and responsibly sourced gemstones. A portion of sales is also donated to the California-based Heal the Bay foundation,
a nonprofit close to the founder’s heart that strives to rejuvenate the coastline. Jane Bartel is also part of the Women’s Jewelry Association.

Our Story

Jane Bartel Jewelry is a fine jewelry line in New York City. Modern and organic our jewelry is hand made to order in solid gold and sterling silver using diamonds and colored gemstones.

I have been creating fine jewelry for the past ten years, originally working in Los Angeles and now in New York. Growing up on the west side of LA I spent hours taking the bus to the beach and combing the sand. My love of the ocean was set and I nearly became a marine biologist. However design and art won the day. I was the owner and creative director of a boutique graphic design studio for over twenty years in Los Angeles. Having a deep discipline in design translates directly to my jewelry practice.

My passion now is carving wax models to be cast using the artisan "lost wax" casting method. I create organic and sculptural pieces, sourcing gemstones that are inspired by my love of the ocean and nature.

As my work has progressed and my knowledge of the mining industry has grown I am now dedicated to only working with vendors that I trust to provide me with responsibly sourced gemstones and casters working with recycled and fair mined metals. I support the "Mercury Free Mining" organization, I am a member of the "Ethical Metalsmiths" group, the "Women's Jewelry Association" and I donate a portion of each jewelry sale to the "Heal The Bay" foundation in Santa Monica, CA
