Instead of taking time , energy and feed to cattle this year. I decided to take the cattle to the the stocked piled pastures and winter grazing I held in reserves for this year.
Blitz, my 10 year old Entlebucher was in his element as he helped moved these cattle 1/4 mile to winter pasture.

Blitz helped me bring the log skidder in after harvesting some white oak.

Yesterday was a day to clean up a old log pile for firewood. Blitz gave me the idea to make some Swedish torch logs. Spring will be here soon and will have the opportunity to use them.

This past weekend, the Weyl Farm hosted Razorback Relic Recovery and ventured into discovering history about the farm and it’s part in the Battle of Prairie Grove.
I enjoyed meeting and visiting all the people and seeing their finds. Someone even found a 1814 silver Spanish 2 real coin.

Took my dog Blitz out this evening to get some donkeys that manage to get out into another pasture. Blitz is a Entlebucher, a type of herding dog. Within 10 minutes of walking out to where the donkeys were in the pasture. Blitz and I calmly walked them back to where they belonged.
I am always impressed with Blitz as he looks back seeking direction to where to go.

Just finished sawing 5 behemoth oak logs for American Estates this week. Almost 5000 board feet of lumber. This was one largest milling projects I have taken on. It was very much like eating the proverbial elephant. One slab at a time.
Patience, persistence, and think won the day.

Made this swing for my grandson’s first birthday.
I used rough cut eastern red cedar that I cut with my sawmill.
I wanted to give it a rustic look and only lightly sanded it preserving the saw marks from the milling process.

Over the past few years I have had the opportunity and privilege the help my good friend Marcus Nall restore a piece of Arkansas history. Many of the oak post and beams need to be replaced. With my sawmill we cut many of the pieces on site. We started replacing some more post this week.

Just delivered this 12 ft. Ozark Black Walnut live edge-table to a customer today. I was very pleased how it turned out. And their expectations were exceeded!
