Ecko Valley Glass Custom lampwork beads created by myself in my home studio in Texas. A lampwork bead starts with a skinny rod of glass and an idea.

Handmade, custom lampwork beads I make in my home and annealed by a digital kiln to ensure strength. I melt glass rods with a torch onto a ss mandrel coated with bead release. Using heat, gravity, and tools I nudge the glass into taking the shapes that I see. Once the bead is the way I want it, it goes into a digitally controlled kiln to anneal. The annealing process helps to stabilize the glass i

n the bead making it so that the bead does not shatter randomly. Though as these are glass, care must be taken and they must be handled gently. I do not recommend glass beads for young children.
