Creator and founder Marcia Bergenfield launched EMSUM Designs in 2013. Her line reflects timeless concepts of personal expression, spirituality and enlightenment. Every piece in her collection is made with intention
and is thought to provide a calmness of mind, body and spirit. True to her personal philosophy and values, Bergenfield dedicated EMSUM Designs to her family and named the company after

her two children, Emerson and Sumner. The word 'Bead' itself is derived from the Old English term that means prayer. EMSUM bracelets are inspired by prayer beads used by religions around the world.
