Samples of fused dichroic glass pendants and earrings: each piece of wearable art is composed of dichroic glass - glass that is coated with layers of metallic oxides such as magnesium and titanium. The metallic coating absorbs and reflects different colors of light at different angles, making the glass multi-hued. By stacking dichroic glass with black, clear, or tinted glass and firing it in a kiln until the layers fuse together, the artist creates these one-of-a-kind art glass pieces.
