The most important commitment is to yourself, and this is what this 1.5 ct Tsavorite Garnet, natural diamond, and 14K white gold ring is about for my client. I’m so glad you live your dream ring, Liz, and that it made it safely to you on the east cost!

WARNING ‼️ long and vulnerable post:

So I read an interesting email today…it was about quitting what you used to love and doing something what you do love. And the analogy used was if the plant who has outgrown their pot doesn’t move into a new larger pot, it will die. 💀

Reading this, on Lunar New Year, stopped me in my tracks. For years I have been on the hamster wheel of production jewelry, and making OOAK pieces hoping someone would buy them. My health has declined, I had zero life outside of work, and my relationships have suffered as well. And in December I was left feeling lonely, burned out, and quite frankly, exhausted.

Starting this year, I have scaled back on my wholesale, art shows, and production-type jewelry in order to concentrate on custom engagement rings, wedding bands, and heirloom design.

So it’s fitting that I’ve been radio-silent as I’ve been working on the back end on a rebrand, updated website, and new photos for my portfolio, such as this wave ring in blue sapphires and 14K gold, which is my personal heirloom redesign of my wedding band! My original ring was white gold and after 20 years, my tastes have changed and I wear more yellow gold now. And, the shank on the original ring was worn so thin it would have been reshanked, so I opted for a new design in a nice wide substantial band that sparkles without catching on anything.

Every piece I design has a story. What story do you want your jewelry to tell?

I just love this story: this couple found my work at a gallery in Estes Park. So when it came time to propose, Ciarra, who lives in PA, reached out to me and we custom designed a platinum band with an onyx moon and matte finish, so that she could propose to him. And he said yes’s. Swipe to see the ring. Congratulations Ciarra and Chris!

The perfect rings for the perfect mountain-loving couple: his is sterling silver, partially oxidized to reflect a night sky. Hers is 14K white and yellow gold with a Montana sapphire representing a blue moon. Thank you for commissioning me to make your rings, I hope you and Jeff love wearing them!

Did you know that aquamarine is the Colorado state 💎? With most of it being mined on Mt. Antero, one of Colorado’s 14,000 ft peaks, this gem makes for a special alternative engagement ring ❤️

I was honored to be commissioned to make this 14K gold and moissanite Ursa Major necklace. The necklace is in remembrance for her cat, Callisto, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier this year. In Greek mythology, Callisto and Zeus had a love affair. Zeus’s wife, Hera, turned Callisto into a bear and when she died, Zeus placed her in the sky as Ursa Major. Moissanites were chosen because natural moissanite originated from space when a meteorite fell to the earth. Every detail in this necklace has a meaning.

Thank you, Alexis, for trusting me with the design. When I saw the finished piece for the first time, it took my breath away. The pic doesn’t do it justice. Now the necklace will be another heart connection to your fur baby 🐾 ❤️.

About Jen Lesea Designs

As long as I can remember, I have been obsessed with textures. To this day, I cannot resist touching a cashmere sweater or a large rock while hiking or a smooth gemstone at the Tucson Gem Show. Each texture tells a story.

My love for texture and the outdoors are the driving forces behind my jewelry designs. As a former competitive triathlete and personal fitness trainer, I have spent countless hours running and cycling in the Rocky Mountains.

Through pushing the boundaries in metalsmithing by fusing sterling silver, I create conversation pieces that are inspired by the Rocky Mountains, the southwest desert landscape, and geometric elements. Through my process of fusing sterling silver, I have the freedom to blend my love for texture and the beauty of Mother Nature to create modern jewelry that sparks curiosity and connection.

I have always taken the road less traveled, a non-conformist of sorts. Through many twists and turns, I returned home to my inner creative.
