Opportunity to Meet the top personality in Rural Development from Srijan Himself the CEO of Srijan...

Ved Arya was elected Humphrey Fellow (1990-91), Ashoka Fellow (2007) and Aspire Fellow (2014). He is currently the CEO of SRIJAN, which he founded in 1997, an NGO promoting rural livelihoods across India. In 2005, he set up SIDS (P) Ltd, an international development consultancy organization credited for bringing the focus on quality human resources into government’s rural development projects. Ved has been a member of several policy-making bodies in Government of India (Planning Commission, Ministry of Rural Development). He was a member of the Steering Committee of the Planning Commission that wrote the rural development chapter of the 12th Five Year Plan. He is advisor and consultant to multilateral and bilateral agencies. Ved is an aeronautical engineer from IIT Kanpur (1979) and management graduate from IIM Ahmedabad (1981). He began his career with Tata Consultancy Services before switching over to the rural development sector. He was among the initial band of people who left the corporate sector to build PRADAN (1985-1997). As a Hubert Humphrey Fellow for the year 1990-91, he attended selected courses at the Kennedy School of Government, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Boston University. As part of the Humphrey Fellowship, he also worked at the World Bank Headquarters, Washington, DC. He was invited to the Environmental Management course at Tufts University as a UNEP Fellow (1991).

Anu Jain

Director of Enriche - Enterprise, Empowerment and Education, by and for Rural Women
Tilonia, Rajasthan

Anu’s journey thus far includes spending over 20 years in California’s corporate sector. She started as a Financial Analyst and moved on to Marketing at companies such as IBM, Apple and Siemens. Switching over to the non-profit sector in 2012, Anu joined SAHARA (South Asian Helpline & Referral Agency) as the Director for Outreach and Data Management. The agency provided support services to South Asian survivors of domestic violence in Southern California. The unparalleled joy in working directly with beneficiaries convinced her to take a leap of faith; and in January 2016 she resigned from her position at SAHARA and joined Barefoot College in Tilonia, Rajasthan as a volunteer.

She now serves as the Director of Enriche - Enterprise, Empowerment and Education, by and for Rural Women at Barefoot College. The organization connects rural communities to solar, water, education, professions and advocacy to help communities and individuals take control of their lives and the wellbeing of their communities. The Enriche program specifically invests in women to help them reach their full potential, fulfill their aspirations and transform their communities via economic, social and environmental impact.

It's glad to let you know we are having Mr. Saransh Roy from startup India (An initiative from government to promote startups in India )
At Startup India, Saransh focuses on Startup Facilitation and Advisory. He is involved in evaluation and identification of opportunities for startups, as well as ex*****on and closure of facilitation requirements, including investor deal flow, business and legal advisory and other pro-bono engagements. Earlier, Saransh worked in Information, Media & Entertainment technology domains with a focus on Big Data Research and Development. Saransh holds a B.Tech in Electronics & Communication engineering.
