For real though, this is my first time growing corn, two kinds to start because why not. Does anyone else grow corn? What kind? Any tips or tricks? I try to grow something new every year.

Anyone else have a couple of rogue hens that decide they just don’t want to lay in their nesting boxes? Let alone inside their coop? Out of all of my hens, there are two that I have constant Easter egg hunts with. Today it was easy! Tomorrow probably won’t be.

I had cookies that I loved when I lived in Mexico, I knew them as a “Coyoté” cookie. I have never been able to find the recipe or the same cookie ever again since I left. It’s been over a decade…. I JUST found the exact recipe (I assume since the photo looks EXACTLY as I remember it). It is actually known as a Coyotas de Sonora. I am SO excited. I will be making them to make sure.

This cookie is not an overly sweet cookie with a dulce de leche style minimal filling. It was such a memorable comfort treat that I think about it every so often.

Do you have a food that you remember vividly but have never been able to find it nor replicate it? Let me know!
