I just wanted to share my thoughts on this-

First of all I'm not judging her, I know what it's like to have sentimental jewelry that I never want to take off, but this is why you should get your jewelry cleaned and inspected on a regular basis. Gold jewelry does wear out over time, and dirt can get between the stone and the prongs which can loosen them enough to lose a stone. I would also recommend taking off your rings for activities like baking, cleaning or sports. Get a ring holder or a necklace chain to hold your rings when you're not wearing them.
