Beauregard had a diaphragmatic hernia in which his liver, 2/3 or his stomach and a portion of his intestines were going through his diaphragm. Beau was a pound puppy that my brother got about a year about from Cobb County Animal Control. He had kennel cough when he got him and was very malnourished, but that was all we thought was wrong with him. After a year of trying to put weight on him, we were never able to put more than 10 pounds on this sweet boy. So, Matt took Beau back to the vet for to see what else may be going on, thinking it was maybe just a chipped tooth causing him not wanting him to eat. His vet wanted to do some chest X-Rays because she was not convinced it was the tooth and didn't like the way he was breathing. The X-Rays showed the hernia, so she sent him to surgical experts. Along with the hernia and the misplacement of organs, Beau's right lung was also fully collapsed and he had about 2 oz. of fluid on his lungs. Dr. Winkler at GVS said he was surprised he didn't have any serious problems in the last couple of weeks. Anyway, with all that said, Matt has a pretty steep vet bill to pay off, and Amanda and I love Beau like he's own. So, we are selling Dolled Up Jewelry with 80-90% of the proceeds going to Beau's vet bill. Please spread the word to all your friends, and if nothing else, pray for a speeding recovery for our sweet little boy!!!!
