What's in a name? Meet Michel, my new copper jam pan I met last Friday on my liiiitle detour between Alencon and Mt.St. Michel. (That's what I told my husband, Mike, anyway) I have packed this big guy all over Normandy, on my back through airports because he's too heavy for checked bag, and I love that for which I sacrifice. For multiple reasons, I have an affinity for copper cook/bakeware, and have wanted the Rolls Royce that is, Mauviel 1830. I brought Michael to the factory showroom in the beautiful village of Villiedeau-les Poeles, which means, loosely, "God's city of pans." He willingly bought me this jam pan I have wanted, to preserve the abundance of berries I pick each year where I live. So in honor of my sweet spousal unit Michael, who sacrifices and serves me daily, and our wonderful day on the way to Mont Saint Michel, I'll refer to my jam pan endearingly. ❤❤❤
Travel note: Normandy is LOADED with blackberries in September. 🇫🇷🍓
