So how did the leak/move out/move in thing go? I was, and is, awful. Instead of a few days I was out a week. The move was a disaster because I tried to organize so that when i moved back in I could make better use of space. I didn't get done in time so bunches of stuff got tossed in big trash bags. Amongst other things they packed my purse so all my ID/cards/cash were unavailable.
Moving back was worse. Everything was basically dumped back in the apartment and there was barely room to walk. I had a plan for a new setup but, of course, I couldn't just unpack on the floor, I had to find shelf and shelf parts (and other such organizational structure) and create places to put stuff while figuring out where stuff was (randomly filled bags, remember).
It was a nightmare task and as I got to where I could see the light at the end of the tunnel the new owners told me that they wanted me out by the end of October. I wasn't keeping the place neat enouh. The excuse doesn't really matter. The important part was the wanted me out for their own seasons. I some ways this was a good thing. My lease expired in December and I really didn't want to move then. Still it really sucked.
Where I had been focused on rebuilding and ignoring everything else so that I would actually get-finished (not just sort of unpacked) I was now hit by major depression. I was just too much and while I have been looking at places I have also been hiding in a dark hole.
At this point I;m feeling better and have to get moving. I'll be putting stuff up for sale over the next week in order to get moving money together. Watch for it.
