Hey friends, we’re still here. 💙

Andy’s Beaded Creations has been a little quiet lately, but we have not forgotten about creating. Life has had a lot that needed attention, and sometimes we have to move slowly and find a rhythm that actually works for us.

But we are still making things.
We are still coming up with ideas.
We are still finding joy in the creative process.

I love watching Andy create in his own way — choosing colors, putting pieces together, and being part of something meaningful. It may not always happen quickly or perfectly, but it is still ours, and it still brings joy.

We are slowly finding a way to make Andy’s Beaded Creations work for our real life.

We’ve had a lot of beautiful creations coming out of Andy’s daily routine lately, and I wanted to share a little more about what this really is 💜

What Andy is doing right now isn’t just “making products” — he is participating in a structured, home-based program focused on building independence, engagement, and daily living skills.

Through beading, sorting, assembling, and packaging, he’s working on:
✨ following steps
✨ staying engaged in tasks
✨ building fine motor skills
✨ learning to complete activities from start to finish

These creations are a reflection of that work — not perfection, but participation, growth, and meaningful engagement.

Because he’s made so many (which is amazing!), I’ll be sharing some of them here for anyone who would like to support his journey.

A little update from Andy’s Beaded Creations.

Last night I shared that Andy and I are starting to get his creations out into the world again, and today we spent more time working at our little living room studio.

Andy and I sit at two small desks side by side in the living room — bead trays, colorful bins, tools everywhere — and that is where Andy’s Beaded Creations really happens.

Andy has been busy making beaded keychains, bookmarks, and refillable pens. We currently have quite a collection built up, so we created a special Surprise Grab Bag listing where each set includes three items Andy made.

It has been really meaningful watching him focus, choose colors, and build these pieces one bead at a time.

This week is also a big one for our family. My power chair arrives in three days, which is both emotional and hopeful. It means a lot of changes, but it also means Andy and I will be able to get back out into the community together more.

Andy’s Beaded Creations started at our kitchen table during a hard season of life, but it has grown into something that gives Andy purpose, creativity, and connection.

Thank you to everyone who has already encouraged him and cheered him on. It truly means more than you know.

✨ We’re Back – Andy’s Beaded Creations ✨

It has been a while since we’ve posted here.

Chronic illness slowed things down in our house for a while, but during that time Andy (23, almost 24, with level 3 autism) has continued creating as part of his home program.

Since August he has been making bracelets, keychains, bookmarks, and beaded pens through **Andy’s Beaded Creations**. Because of everything going on with my health, we haven’t been able to post them until now — which means we actually have quite a **backstock of handmade items ready to share.**

This week is also a big moment for me. I will be receiving my **power chair**, which is a huge step toward independence.

Our next dream is something simple but life-changing:
**finding a wheelchair accessible van so Andy and I can get back out into the world together again.**

To start working toward that goal, we are launching something fun:

Each grab bag is **$20 (shipping included)** and contains **3 surprise handmade items created by Andy.**

Every grab bag helps us begin raising money toward what we’re calling our **“Get Out Into the World Van.”**
